About the Role

They are seeking an ambitious and confident audit and accounts professional to join the rapidly expanding Audit & Accounts team in the role of Manager, with a 60% Audit and 40% Accounts split. This role is pivotal as they continue to onboard new clients and expand their project portfolio. As you grow in your role, there will be opportunities to advance to a Senior Manager position and pursue your career aspirations, potentially leading to a partnership within the company.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • You will take the lead on statutory audits, managing the process from planning to completion, particularly focusing on larger and more intricate audits.
  • Given the nature of clientele and projects, a significant portion of your time will involve providing general consulting services, addressing a wide range of inquiries related to setting up new entities abroad.
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders is essential, whether working independently or collaboratively to deliver top-tier service and consultancy to our clients.
  • While the primary focus will be on audit and accounts for international subsidiaries, there will also be responsibilities involving bookkeeping, management accounting, and preparing VAT returns for both corporate and owner-managed clients.

 

 

Requirements of the Role

  • Primarily, your recent focus should have been on overseeing large-scale audits, with a strong emphasis on leading projects. This experience ideally stems from engagements with both UK and international subsidiaries.
  • Your technical proficiency is crucial for success. You must possess the confidence and expertise to manage intricate audits and financial accounts independently, with minimal reliance on technical assistance.
  • Familiarity with the fundamental principles of corporation tax and other UK tax regulations is necessary.
  • An enthusiasm for client interaction and advisory services is essential, as you will engage with clients directly from the outset.
  • Additionally, supporting the broader team and guiding junior colleagues, whether through direct management or informal mentoring, is a significant aspect of the role.
