About the Role:

The chosen individual will ideally be either AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified, and they will be seeking a career as a tax specialist in future. You will be reporting to the corporate tax director and partner, assisting in the management of a highly diverse portfolio of clients. The clients worked with are typically OMBs which will include both listed companies as well as more international groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the training of audit personnel
  • Oversee WIP and raise bills
  • Undertake technical research
  • Find potential tax planning opportunities
  • Liaise with HMRC regarding enquiries
  • Find new opportunities to maximize the client relationship and add value when possible
  • Review all tax computations that are prepared by the department

 

Requirements:

  • Good technical compliance knowledge
  • Able to form a rapport with stakeholders quickly
  • Experience with reviewing corporation tax returns
  • Confident to make decisions effectively
  • Strong verbal/written communication
  • Considering undertaking the CTA qualification
  • Ideally qualified in AAT, ACA, or ACCA
  • Some experience with Alphatax is preferred
