About the Role:

They are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join the busy and expanding Business Services Unit as a Senior Accountant. The position will require an individual that is able to meet tight deadlines, have excellent interpersonal & supervisory skills, and take an active interest in understanding the client’s business. The company works with many of the most exciting and rapidly growing small and medium-sized companies. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accounts from clients’ records
  • Prepare an accurate working paper file
  • Review financial accounts and VAT returns
  • Computation of Income Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE
  • Reply to all client and Partner telephone requests.
  • Undertake any work with a view to profitability and use the opportunity to review WIP and debtors.
  • Aid Partners in client meetings, if requested to do so. Acting as a trustworthy member of the team, providing help, development, and assistance to more junior staff.
  • Creating work for manager and partner review which necessitates minimal additional input, clearly underlines concerns, and offers potential answers to concerns identified.
  • Help the accounts team and manager as necessary.
  • Handle your workload to guarantee all deadlines are met

 

Requirements

  • Applicants will be computer literate
  • Excellent up-to-date technical expertise including recent developments in accounting standards
  • Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • ACCA or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounts preparation assignments
  • Good knowledge of accounting software including Xero, VT, Sage, and CCH Central
