About the Role:

They are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join the busy and expanding Business Services Department as a Senior Associate. The position is client facing meaning some travel is expected, and it will be a hybrid mix of working in the office as well as home working. The company works with many of the most exciting and rapidly growing small and medium-sized companies. Subsequently, you will be able to reach the peak of your career through highly stimulating work with high calibre clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with a varied portfolio of clients, including small and medium sized privately owned limited companies, LLP’s, partnerships and sole traders. You will need to prepare year-end financial statements and accounts with minimal outstanding queries, for review in a timely and methodical manner
  • Accountable for the preparation of some VAT returns and management accounts for a wide range of clients, within specific budget timescales
  • Ad-hoc specialist assignments as and when they arise
  • Production of management accounts as and when needed
  • Oversee general office-based day-to-day tasks, as needed
  • Extensive liaison with clients, client managers, other departments and partners
  • Occasional help on audit as and when they arise

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ practice in accountancy firm or minimum 5 years’ if only qualified through experience
  • Able to demonstrate broad experience and proficiency in full accounts production from basic prime books and records, through to computerised accounting packages
  • Capability to work on multiple accounts concurrently
  • Fully familiar with Sage, QuickBooks and, to an extent, Xero software
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent time management with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Adaptable attitude, with ability to prioritise workloads
  • ACA/ACCA qualified.
  • Involvement and understanding of starting audits
  • Prior experience of property client portfolio management
  • Working knowledge of CCH, AP2 would be an advantage
  • Pro-Audit and Excel software knowledge
